Back from vacation and I’m about to get another brief, though unexpected, break.
It seems that my medical malpractice insurance has been cancelled.
I officially leave my former group tomorrow, September 1, and apparently my med mal insurance was purchased as a member of the group and not individually. Friday they told me this. I spent a good deal of time trying to get insurance but it being Friday and a holiday weekend… You know the drill.
Anyway, I had to cancel a case on Tuesday. Hopefully I can get re-insured by then so I can see patients in the office on Wednesday. It’ll be a pain if I have to cancel office too.
