It seems of late there have been a number of medical bloggers that have been taken offline. Some of these apparently have been forced at the direction of their superiors while others seem to be self-imposed.
Whatever the reasons the internet is a vast space and with enough time, effort and will everyone will discover there’s no such thing as anonymous blogging. We all leave little clues.
- Where we live
- Where we trained
- Our gender and age
Sometimes the best thing is give no details or combine multiple patients into one. Or just skip the patient stuff and write opinion stuff. I guess on the current sites I have I’m sticking to being extremely vague or just commenting on medical news.
