USB to Ethernet Adapter

Oh my god how aggravating. I’ve got an Intel Mac mini I’m using as a server and I’ve got a StarTech USB to Ethernet adapter. Unfortunately, none of the current drivers seems to support Leopard well. Fortunately, Sustainable Networks has written a beta driver to support Leopard. Unfortunately my adapter isn’t one of the ones listed.

So far I find myself having to re-install the drivers everytime I restart the server. Fortunately this isn’t often. The latest wrinkle is that even doing this the adapter doesn’t get loaded. Crap.

After a lot of fidgeting, plugging, un-plugging, etc. I’m back online. I’ve also order the Belkin Gigabit adapter which others seem to have been using with better success.

::keeping fingers crossed::
