Thank goodness. It’s finally over. We have a humble [winner][GWB] and [someone][Kerry] who gave a gracious concessions speech.
All I can say is “everyone get over it.” Being angry and bitter or giddy and self-righteous is totally non-productive. If you want to vent — vent. But let it pass. I can’t understand how many people still harbor anger and resentment over 2000 election. Let’s get on with it and move forward.
It seems that many people in the blogosphere, at least the ones that I read, are shocked and dismayed at the election results. I think they need to get out more and listen to people who have opposing views a little more carefully. I think it’s because they really don’t have a clear view of rural America — and there’s a lot of rural America. I don’t begrudge anyone their opinion but sometimes I think that they fail to remember that that’s all it is — opinion. That means it’s neither right nor wrong.
