My brother Alan invited all of us to Park City, UT to spend his 40th birthday with him. All the kids had a great time in ski school. Even my four year old, Sophie, got on skis and rode the chair lift. She loved the chair lift.
It snowed like crazy the entire time we were there. Except, of course, on the day we left, today, when the sun was shining. It was good because the mountain got some much needed snow. I went boarding. It was much better than my first attempt. I fell a lot less and I’m not nearly as sore as I was the first time I went 4 years ago. My son, Jonathan, skied like a champ. We went skiing together yesterday and he kept up with me the whole way. He didn’t even complain about the blowing, snowstorm around us.
Clearly one of the best things Alan did was to hire a chef, John Winders, to come every night to make dinner for the seventeen of us. John was amazing. The food was incredible and it sure beat the hell out of ferrying everyone out to eat every night.
